What is the Bazaar Room and what’s in there?
Allow me to introduce you to my Bazaar Room: the room where you can buy nichancraftroom's-style handmade.
Please read here to know about me: www.nichancraftroom.com/about.htm
I create all of these cute stuff in a lovely island: Java, Indonesia (^.^)
In this room, you will find both my original design and arrangement
For original design or arrangement, I make the design or concept originally and then make the pattern to realize the idea. Original arrangement happens when for example: I made 10 granny squares or other flat motif and arrange them into a bag, or scarf or other stuff by my self and the design concept is made by me. Other example: using some motif as decoration of another craft that the craft itself and the decorating concept are original concepted and designed by me.
Making arrangement sounds easy to do, but after making two crocheted bags, I felt like I must give a credit to myself for arranging the squares and flowers motif into a bag based on the concept that I created myself.
Special note for pure inspired handmade >>Please read Shipping & Shopping section at the bottom of the page about this special category.
I don't use label tag anymore on my product instead, I stamp and sign my product inside. I use special fabric ink so you don't have to worry that it will bleed. It's also tested before selling. I use pictures stamps which are of course, not my logo. I use them simply because they are cute. But...My signature is real. I hand-sign it, not stamp it with signature stamp. I use Marvy spidol special for fabric. I use the short of my nickname "Sweet Nichan" --> S'Nichan as my signature...Well, "nichancraftroom" is too long, isn't it? (^.^). So, the stamp and signature will function as my new label tag.
I am sorry that I can't granted any request to use either label tag or no-stamp&signature or a special request to write a name/word.
Get Inspired but Don't Copy. That's my message. Please read my Copyright Section in shipping & shopping policy
Who does crafts in Bazaar?
Me, solely. I haven't hired someone to realize my design or make things here. So, yes, All are made by myself. I tried to produce like 2-3 items per-day but seems I can't really do that because I must share my time with my R&D project and other craft-type learning. R&D projects and other craft type learning are very important for me because I want to provide the best creation here and give more craft variation. Besides, the most important thing for me is "enjoy" feeling when doing craft. If I enjoy doing my crafts, my crafts will have great quality and as cute and unique as I plan (^.^).
How is the making proccess and How is the effect to the result?
Regarding to (especially) sewing, I love fabrics so much. I treat every fabric I have like an art, like a treasure. I can make something ordinary from a fabric I have because I want my fabric to stand out, too, not just be seen as cute or beautiful material. My simple concept is: the fabric must "support" the design and vice versa. They must match each other. So, the design and fabrics (and some other materials) are blended beautifully. If one is taken or exchange, the beauty or cuteness of the craft will disappear. That's why, you may seen, I rarely make a design with some different fabrics. If I do, it doesn't mean, i just grab fabric or material for the second product. No, every single thing here is thought thoroughly. There's a labor cost that i never include in my pricing: Choosing the material. It can take more than an hour. It's not easy because I won't push myself to choose a fabric just to make things fast.
I rarely use the same fabric combination on a design and I usually have no interest to do that (^.^)'. So, design can be the same but not the fabric. Pictures I present here are showing the one that you will get when you purchase it. I don't model my handmade with my other handmade which has the same design. What you see is what you get.(^.^)
I do not use cutting machine or whatsoever. The 'cutting machine' is my self, my hands. It's included the marking. Sometimes, there will be 0,5-1,5 mm miss from the pattern but it doesn't effect too much to the result as i always check the final, finished result.
I combine handsewing and machine sewing when making my crafts here. In the past, Sometimes, I hate doing handsew but finally, after taking some intermediate cloth sewing course, I realize that at some points, handsew is irreplacable and it's neater, too!
It's very natural in handmade that some immaterial inconsistency happens but you may relax because I always check out the finished result to see a whole esthetic result as well as the quality of the handmade itself b(^.^).
What is style of the crafts in the Bazaar Room?
The style of my products are: Fun, Sweet, and Unique…
I always find and want something but not just in ordinary style. I want it different, I want it unique, not boring, feeling the fun, feel the syle...it's hard sometimes to find one. So I make it myself and share it with all of you (^.^).
Cute, Fun!...(^.^)...Sounds childish? Too old for you, for us?...NO WAY!...oh, please don't think that way. We adult are deserved to be looked cute, to have a sweet girly style, to have fun, too. In my store you’ll find it’s more like children’s stuff. Hey, why not? I’m 30+ yo and still love Hello Kitty. I don’t restrict my project to children only, adult only, teen only…So, anyone can wear or use them. I never realize myself since i always feel comfortable with what I wear. Because I'm comfortable, I'm confident. Believe it or not, my friends notice my style and they like it. I don't have to stand out like a model or celebrity. All I have to do is to feel myself and be comfortable with myself.
That's why my natural instinct motto when making things is : fun, sweet and unique. So, things I sell here are things that I would definitely wear. It's not easy to decide whether a thing is for selling or not after I finish making it. Now, after making things, I'm like hypnotizing myself,"it's for selling, it's for selling...". After making it, I just check the quality, when it's ok, no need for fixing, I put them in a plastic and put them in the storage box. If I keep looking, I will never sell it...(^.^)'.
That's a little bit story about me, my crafts...
Thank's for spending your time to get to know me and my crafts.
